Sunshine Break in Fiji - Hurrah!

The tropical storm blew away from where we are and for most of the day we had beautiful sunshine.  The beach looks trashed however, with driftwood and debris on the beach; the water has also risen, a phenomenon that surprised the locals working in the hotel. (I worried: is this a baby-tsunami?)

The pool and facilities were back to normal and the nearby Arts Village was for the most part open, although we did hear that schools and government offices in Fiji were closed because of the storm.

The storm isn't over; it's expected to continue raining until Saturday.

At least for today, we were able to do touristy activities.
