We had our panel discussion on The Filipino, as a Writer in America, last night at the 30th Anniversary celebration of Philippine Expressions Bookshop. Linda Nietes, owner of the bookshop, invited me to moderate the discussion, with authors Carlene Sobrino Bonnivier, Paulino Lim Jr, and Giovanni Ortega.

The audience was very receptive and we had a great time. The event included a talk by Norman de los Santos about Ancient Filipino Script, music (the kulintang gongs), and arnis martial arts, and more - see pictures below.
