When we have a hankering for French food, we go to the Let Petit Cafe, which was where we went last night. Le Petit Cafe is located at 2842 Colorado Avenue, Santa Monica; it's a small, family-run bistro, with an informal but charming ambiance. It's almost always packed, so make reservations beforehand (tel: 310-829-6792).
Last night's menu included: Breast of Chicken, Roasted Duck, Calf's Liver, Petit Filet Mignon, Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Oregon Sandabs, White Fish, and Crab Cakes. Our party had Filet Mignon, Trout, and Crab Cakes, along with starters of French Onion Soup, Escargot, and Salad; everyone was happy with their food.
They also serve sandwiches and burgers for their lunch crowd.
