Travel France: Brittany, Carnac and Josselin

Internet is painfully slow, dear Readers, so this will be short.

We are in Carnac which has pre-proto-Celtic megaliths, 5,000 year-old stone structures. We have seen  megaliths in Ireland and Stonehenge in England, but Carnac is said to have the most number of megaliths, some 3,000 standing stones.

We also visited Josselin, a medieval village with a picturesque chateau that still belongs to the Rohan family. It was market day and fun to witness the festive atmosphere along the winding streets outside the chateau. There were quite a number of Tudor-style timber houses, which fascinate me because many of them have shifted and lean to the side.

Enjoy the pictures, and thanks for visiting my blog.

      This is all for now,
       Cecilia
