Pictures of Bethlehem where Christ Was Born

I took these pictures of Bethlehem in 2008.

The top pictures show the Church of the Nativity.

This is the chapel of the Nativity where Christ was born.

The following pictures were taken at the Milk Grotto, a place where Mary fed the Infant Jesus. A drop of milk fell on the floor turning the entire area white.  It is a place where couples go to pray for a baby.

 Bethlehem was a depressed place then and it remains so now.  How sad it is to think that the place where Our Lord had His beginning is filled with strife. May Hope visit Bethlehem and the Bethlehems in our hearts.
