Here are two authors who'll be participating in the HOT OFF THE PRESS Literary Readings in San Francisco on October 7 and 8, 2017. These readings are part of the Filipino American International Book Festival. They will be held at the San Francisco Main Library at 100 Larkin Street, Civic Center, San Francisco, CA 94102.

Eileen Tabios will be reading from Manhattan: An Archaeology, published by Paloma Press, 2017.
Eileen Tabios loves
books and her first poetry collection, BEYOND LIFE SENTENCES received
the Philippines’ National Book Award for Poetry. She’s since released about 50
collections of poetry, fiction, essays, and experimental biographies from
publishers in nine countries and cyberspace. Recent releases include MANHATTAN
from Paloma Press in San Mateo and LOVE IN A TIME OF BELLIGERENCE from Editions
du Cygne in France. Inventor of the poetry form “hay(na)ku,” she has been translated
into eight languages. Her writing and editing works have received recognition

Brian Ascalon Roley will be reading from The Last Mistress of Jose Rizal, published by Curbstone 2, 2016.
Brian Ascalon Roley is the award-winning author of AMERICAN SON: A NOVEL (W.W. Norton; Christian Bourgeois Editeur), which was a Los Angeles Times Best Book, New York Times Notable Book, Kiriyama Pacific Rim Prize Finalist, and winner of the Association for Asian American Studies Prose Book Award of 2003, among other honors, and has been widely taught nationally and abroad.
Brian has been a fellow at Djerassi, Ragdale, VCCA and the University of Cambridge, where he completed his collection THE LAST MISTRESS OF JOSE RIZAL (Curbstone2, 2016). He is currently Professor of English at Miami University of Ohio and spends most of his time with his family in Cincinnati and California. More at: www.brianroley.com.
