#Authors Renee Macalino Rutledge & Marie Deaconu-Baylon in HOT OFF THE PRESS Literary Readings Oct 7 & 8, 2017 #FilAm Book Fest

FEATURED AUTHORS:

Here are two more authors who'll be participating  in the HOT OFF THE PRESS Literary Readings in San Francisco on October 7 and 8, 2017.  These readings are part of the Filipino American International Book Festival. They will be held at the San Francisco Main Library at 100 Larkin Street, Civic Center, San Francisco, CA 94102.

Renee Macalino Rutledge will be reading from The Hour of Daydreams (Forest Avenue Press, 2017) 



















Renee was born in Manila and raised in California from the age of 4. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two daughters. She works as a nonfiction book editor for Ulysses Press and write the “That’s So Alameda” column for Alameda Magazine. Renee's debut novel, The Hour of Daydreams, has been dubbed “essential reading” by Literary Mama, a book to get excited for by The Oregonian, and a “captivating story of love and loss unlike any other” by Foreword Reviews. Marie Deaconu-Baylon will be reading from                               North For Sun. 2017














Marie Deaconu-Baylon is the author of North for Sun, her debut novel about a Filipino-American college student with bipolar disorder.  Marie advocates for mental health as a writer and licensed social worker.  She has worked in shelters, street outreach, and supportive housing programs in Boston and Chicago.
