The City of Cebu is hosting the 51st International Eucharistic Congress from January 24-31, 2016.
The event gathers delegates and speakers from all over the world, including: New York Archbishop Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Los Angeles Auxiliary Bishop Robert Barron, the Pope's Envoy Cardinal Charles Maung Bo, Bombay Cardinal Oswald Gracias, and many others.
Activities include an opening Mass at the Plaza Independencia, concurrent catechesis and sessions for the delegates, Parish encounters for parishioners of different communities, Visita Iglesia (visit of churches), Mass and procession, which is what I caught this evening.
I took a few pictures of people waiting for the procession. I was struck by their faith which was palpable and very touching.
Mabuhay and Pilipino!
