Lunch with Linda Nietes and Robert Little of Philippine Expressions

I had lunch with Linda Nietes and Robert Little in San Pedro, California. Linda Nietes owns the iconic bookshop Philippine Expressions, which has been selling Philippine and Philippine American books for over 30 years.

The venue for lunch was Baramee Thai, after which we visited Crafted and the new and very popular brewery, Brouwerij West.

It was great to get caught up with Linda over literary matters. She is planning an event honoring Filipino National Artist, N.V.M. Gonzalez, and we also talked about honoring another beloved Filipino author, Bienvendio N. Santos.

N.V.M. Gonzalez and Bienvenido N. Santos were writers who had mentored when I was a fledgling writer.

There was another literary matter, which Linda and I discussed but which is still "secret" at this point, so stay tuned to find out what's brewing, dear Readers.

Thanks Linda and Robert, and more power to you.
