Hello, I finished the two literary events for the friends of the Library Spring Syposium. Both events went very well, and it's been wonderful to meet members of the Friends of the Library and the West TN Fil-Am Group.

I am sharing some pictures.  Please check back for more.

Gigi Cortez-Sim

The Friday night event was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, and I talked on the Impact of Filipino Culture and History on American Literature.  Saturday, I did a Literary Reading at the Jackson Public Library, reading excerpts from my writings, When the Rainbow Goddess Wept, Butterscotch Marble Ice Cream, and Flip Gothic.

I want to thank Perry Burrows and James Cherry from the Friends of the Jackson Library. I also want to thank members of the West Tennessee Fil Am Group who were present in both events, and who invited us to a Friday night party and Saturday breakfast.

I had a blast and hope you did too. I share this Irish blessing to all:

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
