Now, really the vacation I had with my school mates is definitely over.Yesterday Guia Lim left Las Vegas for Manila. For some reason, while she continued her holiday and even though I'm back home myself, I still felt I was on vacation. We four had talked to one another nonstop, and when we left Canada we kept up the email correspondence, but then it petered off.
It is a bit sad.
However, we have something to look forward to, and that's a future holiday together -- perhaps in South America, or Japan, or maybe we'll go on a Safari in Tanzania.
Abangan!! (which is Tagalog meaning Wait and see!)
Here are a few pictures which I salvaged from the full memory card that I had to replace in Quebec.
The top photo was taken in Montreal in the old section, l-r: Maria Acaya, Guia Lim, Cecilia Brainard
Next- l-r: Guia Lim, Maria Acayan, and Cecilia Brainard
The group of five photo was taken in Quebec, in the Boulay Restaurant which is a fine restaurant. I highly recommend it. l-r: Albert, Maria Acayan, Guia Lim, Cecilia Brainard, and Evelyn del Rosario.
The young woman holding up the book worked at Boulay. She was from France and she said it took her three months to get used to the Quebecois language. She was very lively and animated and would do this charming French-thing of rolling her eyes and making cute faces. She made us laugh.
All for now. Have a great Thursday!
Cecilia
(P.S. Yes, I know it's an ungodly hour right now, but that is what writers do -- work at odd hours!)
