Do you remember that hammock I lay on, in Manaus, Brazil?
Well, that was the moment I fell in love with Brazilian hammocks and I bought one in Minas Gerais, which I brought all the way to California. I discovered I didn't have the right spot for it there, but found a good place for it in Cebu. Here it is!
I am hoping an entrepreneurial Filipino will be inspired and start making this type of hammock in the Philippines. It's something that could be done here; it's popular among tourists, and easy enough to roll up and place in a suitcase.
There's money here. Brazilian hammock-making is a big industry. Now, granted Brazilians do actually sleep in them, this item is very popular with tourists.
